We Are Chosen

You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain..... John 15:16

I don't remember exactly what drew me to Jeannie and her "fouth grade group" , but I wanted so badly to be a part of it. I wanted to be accecpted, included and chosen for membership.

I had chosen her as my friend. I sent a mutual friend to ask Jeannie if I could join. I remember the look on Jennie's face and the disappointment in my heart as she looked at me, turned up her top lip, rolled her eyes, and shook her head.......... NO. Jeannie had not chosen me.

Like many of you, I have struggled with the fear of not being accepted, included or chosen. Over the years, I have had to face that fear whenever women, whom I chose, ignored my attemp to include myself in their circle of friends. What I now understand is Jesus protected me and my family by seperating me. It wasn't that I was not accepted, He had set me apart. How awesome is that.?

Today, I choose Jesus and I allow Him to choose for me. He choses my friends and I love it. I go and bear fruit that remains because He appointed me to do so.
Allow Him to do the same for you.

Father, at all times, in all things, help me to remember that I am chosen by you to bear fruit that remains. To You be the glory. In Jesus name, amen.
